My Thoughts

Yet another Amazing book by A.M. Johnson. That I extremely loved and enjoyed so much. Now I know probably some readers didn't like Todd as much and the terrible way he treated and acted towards Lizzy. He was a pure douchbag for doing that too poor Lizzie. But I honestly really liked him and I felt so bad for him in Still Life. But that doesn't mean I condone his horrible action towards Lizzie. But I do understand why he felt the way he did towards Lizzie and Sawyer. He was just so broken hearted and lost that he didn't have the love of his life with him and in his life. And that another guy is with Lizzie now. Now in Still Water three years has past from Still Life, and Todd Dixon is living in a new city and making a name for himself with a new bar and a new record label. But he turn his back on love and all it's promises and built a huge wall around his heart so he won't fall in love again and feel pain ever again. He is a broken shell of a man acting like a total douchbag and having loveless one night stands. Worst of all he hasn't even visit his best friend Lizzie and Sawyer for three years and double worst he hasn't even met there baby girl Sailor yet. Lizzie and Sawyer really wants Todd to visit them and met there baby girl but it was a little too much for Todd. He know that it wasn't the time yet to face his pain with Lizzie and Sawyer and there little happy family. But everything does change when Todd gets to his job at the bar and there his hearts leaps outta his chest. When he first lays eyes on his new employee Lily Spring. And when they finally locked eyes with each other there was most definitely heated sexual attraction to each other and passion between Todd and Lily. But Lily Spring is also a girl who is very broken after a very sad tragedy that happen to her. That turn her life upside down taking along her musical career that she always wanted down the drain. But she made a promise to her dad that she will fulfill her music dreams for him. And Todd is everything she doesn't need right now but he is the ticket to her dreams to come true. But eventually passion wins and there passion burns slowly but they both already have a deep connection that Todd never felt that way for a long time. And he know that he wanted Lily more than anything to be his and be in his life for good. But of course Todd life choices that he made in the past rears it's ugly head on both of them but he was determined to make it work with Lily. Lily wanted her relationship work with Todd but of course she had huge doubts about herself and some trust issues with Todd. So she decides to make a sacrifice that will both brake Todd hearts and spirit again and more than anything. But she thought she was making the right decision for him. Now will Todd and Lily love survive or will it be gone forever. Now I am going to stop here because you all have to read and find out for yourself what happens too Todd and Lily Love. And I am telling you, you won't regret reading it. Still Water is a very emotional and absolutely amazing book. That I can't wait to read the next book that comes out which is Seth book. Seth is my all time favorite character and I really want to know about his dark past and the demons he has from it. Seth so deserves a happily ever after as well!

“Come dance with me.” His breath was peppermint again, and, as he closed the distance behind us and trailed his hands down my arms, I realized I was strangling the dishrag. He moved his fingertips into the water and lightly back up my hands before removing the towel from my death grip. I exhaled, effectively breaking the spell I was under.

“Come on, Lily. I don’t bite.” I felt his torso move as he laughed. I was being stupid. Jace and Tiffany were totally in the moment and having fun. Why the hell not?

“Show me what you got,” I said as I turned to face him, becoming completely caged between his arms and making an extra effort to stand tall. I was so tiny compared to him. He had to be at least six feet tall. I was just barely five-foot-three. It was intimidating, but I refused to show it.

Todd’s pupils dilated, the close proximity was affecting him too. I gained confidence from that. “I thought we were dancing?” “Lead the way.” He smirked.
